Abandoned, But Not Forgotten

Shutter 1/34, Aperture f/11.1, Focal Length 4.3mm, ISO 99
This gas pump looks like it hasn't been used in a long time, since maybe the 70's. Considering that there is barely anything around it, it looked pretty well abandoned.

Shutter 1/105, Aperture f/14.0, Focal Length 12.3mm,  ISO 80
This item doesn't even have anything hooked up to it any more, such as tanks or hoses, so I think it's pretty clear that this has been abandoned.
Shutter 1/34, Aperture f/4.2, Focal Length 8.5mm, ISO 200
The amount of rust on the subject is a pretty clear indication of abandonment. There's not even a cable hooked up to it anymore, making it seem obsolete.

These images hold a symbolic meaning, that being that when we find something better and easier to use, we often times forget about the things we used before, leaving them to rust. We may abandon these things, but we must never forget them, because they are what helped us become what we are today.
